Web Design Inspiration Curated
I Create Things
We create things too, but Colin Cameron's blog re-design is pretty good stuff. Simple, straight-forward and attention to detail make me want to keep reading his posts.
RobGoodlatte.com
The placement of the information on this design is well thought out and clean, then with the textures and torn paper look around all the edges this site has a nice warm quality to it. Well done Rob!
Extendio
Extendio says "We really love simple, clean web sites!" and so do we. This one is a great example of simple design done well.
30elm
Very good use of a long page format. This is a great design, one that I enjoyed clicking around in. The detail pages for the case studies are put together very well. It looks like there was a lot of thought put into the usability of this website.
Wake Interactive
Very good use of color, blue can be sort of "played out" as it's often the choice among so many websites but the way it's used here is fresh. Overall this is a tight design from start to finish.
Oaktree Creative
This is a very clean, well designed portfolio site from Oaktree Creative. The typography is sophisticated and the restrained use of well-designed icons is smart.
Blissfully Aware
Mark Boulton Design
Mark Boulton launched his new site a couple of weeks ago and boy is it a wonderful piece of work. Everything is perfect about it, from the layout, the typography, the subtle colors, even the couple of sketchy illustrations in the sidebar. Under the hood it’s...
voyage
If you're not a fan of [tag]Horizontal[/tag] designs, you probably won't like this one. If you're intrigued by them, though, this is a good example of one of the few times when it really works. They're positioning themselves as courageously creative, and a horizontal...
fortuitous
The new blog from Matthew Haughey, founder of MetaFilter and PVRBlog, fortuitous is an eye-catching design. It eschews many standard design elements in favor of a very unique layout with several nice touches. I'm interested to hear what you think about it, though. Is...
O’Reilly Radar
I should have featured this redesign of O'Reilly Radar much sooner. It's a great-looking, effective design that manages to be a little fresh and different without being difficult. (We've all seen examples that were quite different, without actually being good.) They...
Uniquely Knoxville
It looks like Knoxville is more unique than I thought, and their website got a bit of a remake to better emphasize they city's popular and diverse social offerings. I must say that I initially felt overwhelmed with the graphical illustrations that make up most of the...
Young Go Getter
Young Go Getter is one of the best looking blogs I've run across in a long time. I love clean, effective designs, and this one definitely excels at both. The posts are front and center, they're easy to read on the screen, and it's easy to find whatever you're looking...
Simply Fired
From the people behind Simply Hired comes Simply Fired, a collection of stories and tales from those who've all been victim of the pink slip demon. Simply Fired uses some stylish and appropriate graphics, a Digg-like approach to their collection of stories, and a...
Videoegg
Even though the guy in the screenshot looks fresh out of the 1980s, the rest of the site is kicking some modern tail. Serving up Flash videos to over 65 sites in their network, Videoegg better have a good handle on their own site, and I'm not disappointed. With some...
Happy Cog
To be honest, I'm not sure why I didn't review the Happy Cog website earlier, especially after doing the AIGA website (Happy Cog was the company behind that one). Happy Cog is a prominent website design company whose work includes Dictionary.com, AIGA, and much more....
Super Lamb Banana
Super. Lamb. Banana. You didn't read that wrong, this site is actually for a piece of artwork on public display in Liverpool. Here's a quote from the site: The Super Lamb Banana was the original work of Japanese-based artist Taro Chiezo. Commissioned for the Art...
Habitat for Humanity – Youth Programs
It looks like one more philanthropic organization has outdone themselves (finally) with a great looking website. Habitat for Humanity's Youth Programs website makes use of a bright and energetic color scheme, great illustrations, and just the right amount of Flash for...

Penshoppe is a youth-centered casual clothing company based in the Philippines (with over 300 stores, including at least one in China). The company is just over twenty years old and being founded by a young CEO (per their Profile page), they have their priorities in...
