Uniquely Knoxville

Uniquely Knoxville

It looks like Knoxville is more unique than I thought, and their website got a bit of a remake to better emphasize they city’s popular and diverse social offerings. I must say that I initially felt overwhelmed with the graphical illustrations that make up most of the design, but it eventually set in. I also enjoyed the amount of data convergence Uniquely Knoxville has to offer; it is essentially a stockpile of resources and information for visitors and residents.

First up of course is the amount of graphical design that has been integrated into the site’s overall design. I’ve never been to Knoxville— and please if a reader has, let us know about this— but I’m willing to bet that the website and the city will compliment each other. Based on the site, I can conclude that Knoxville is diverse, a big tourist city, full of advertisements, has lots of events and activities, and is actively involved with it’s own heritage and history. Moreover, using the site, I can gain great insight beyond simple aesthetics of the city and into the city’s physical offerings (parks, hotels, etc) simply by navigating the site.

It’s what I envision to be a fully representative and delightful experience for visitors of the website and the city that make Uniquely Knoxville, well, unique. It’s unmatched warehousing of useful warehousing of vast amounts of city-related information combined with an elaborate and engaging design make truly make it shine.

I used to live there – the city’s not as cluttered as the site – lol – there’s a tourist area called Pigeon Forge in the mountains 50 miles away that this site more closely resembles.

I live in Knoxville, and no, this visually stunning website by no means matches the drab city appearance. To me, it’s just http://tnvacation.com on steroids, and is so busy I don’t even want to hunt down where I’m supposed to click in the mess.

I live in Knoxville. Its a very long city that is undergoing a great deal of new developments as well as renovations in its central business district that includes some great night spots and a good music scene.

Its proximity to the Smokies make it a great spot for outdoor adventure and lakeside shenanigans. I suppose its like the sucky Seattle of the south in that sense.

The website really makes the city look a lot better than it is though. Without the University, Knoxville is just a place for rich southern people to build their big ass houses.
