The Nature Conservancy

https://global.nature.org/

Love this site from The Nature Conservancy out of Arlington, Virginia. It’s their “global” sub-domain, slightly separate from their main site – I kind of hope they change the main site to this format. There’s a lot here – but three things I like specifically:

– Love the nav – first the nav that comes from the hamburger – great visually – also like the secondary nav on the top of each story that leads to categories or similar type articles -… and… the secondary nave like the “View Full Collection” that sits on top of the image of the earth under Essential Reads

– I like the transitions between pages / stories – how they rise up from the bottom

– Finally, I love the layout of the “our global solutions” page, great use of copy, background images, and other content to engage the user.

From the Designer: The Nature Conservancy focuses its work around five core global strategies, and needed a way to present their work as a connected and comprehensive package. We created a narrative to help illustrate the connection between strategies and aggregate and elevate TNC’s thought leadership content.
