Creating a site about myself was a challenging task. I aimed to craft something that arouses trust from my users through a pure and sincere presentation. My aims were to strive for a timeless aesthetic, focussing on usability and simplicity.

Before even considering the website’s style, I approached the design with a content first mentality. Doing so, really allowed me to focus on crafting a delightful reading experience. Because I was aware of the essence of my content, I strived to create clear, readable typography in order to do the content justice.

The website doesn’t employ any gimmicks. Nor is it designed following the latest in web trends. It’s just a minimalist attempt to supports the content, which tells a story about it’s author and his work.

Really well thought out, clean design. I like the minimal approach to the colors, layout and interactions. The content is very clear and concise. Smart work here indeed.
