oatbook.co.uk is a beautiful gallery. The site takes a novel approach of creating interest for the OATBook product by presenting viewers with a massive, full screen gallery of images and nothing else. The photography is pretty good and the minimal design leaves a visitor with three options: leave the site, connect through social media, or visit the App Store.

I find it interesting that the authors of this page have managed to create the necessary pipes the get users to help them market and sell the app without a single word of copy. I very much like this site as an experiment in alternative marketing approaches. The app they are selling is for a very niche market, but I’d like to see if the site helps drive people toward it.

If I were designing the site, I would probably make the link to the app store a little more visible. Other than that, I think it’s very cool.
