fe.rocious.com (v2)

ferociouscom

Giovanni reviewed the previous version of the fe.rocious.com design so now it’s my turn.

I love this design, from the colors to the background image it’s great. The main navigation layout is really fun, it borders on almost not looking like a navigation, but it pulls it off. Which is really what a lot of this site is like for me, just enough traditional web interface but changed a bit to be a quirky experience, nothing goes wrong it just leaves you feeling a little uneasy, but in a really great way.

I love the ‘online features’ section, the resizing for the browser window width is nice. The post’s detail page layout is also very full and have some nice little details. I like that there’s a little ‘x’ in the top right corner of the post that makes it seam like you’re closing out the page and going back to the main list page. Clever.

The site is so full of nice detail and the experience is enjoyable and very memorable, just out of the pure effort put into the artwork. The video of the magazine and detail photography make it look like something we should all add to our design libraries too.
