Way to show off the big guns! Don’t get me wrong, I know what you are thinking… all the usability problems, the possible accessibility issues, etc. But, seriously, this site is a great example of the kind of experimentation that helps us grow as designers and developers.

Here, we have a designer who is experimenting with an almost exclusively image-based design, he’s abandoned the grid, the animations are crazy and in a lot of ways, I don’t know anything about him professionally. In my opinion, none of that matters! After a couple minutes on this site, I feel like a I know more about Charles from his site than 99% of the designs we see here on UnmatchedStyle. This site is authentic and likable, even if it is a little heavy handed.

While I can’t say that I like everything about this site, I love the tone and the sense of exploration that it inspires. Dig it, people.

I agree Gio, it’s the fun factor. Where else can you experiment than with your own website?
