This site is using a fixed/static (whatever you call it) footer. It has a very large logo placed there. I think it interferes a bit too much with the content. That combined with the effect of having the static footer makes me focus on the footer area more than I need...

I like the “organic” feel of this website, they’ve taken a blog-like layout and made it feel a little tactile. The grid is nice on this design. I especially like the area around the Featured Article.
