This November 7-8 ConvergeFL is coming back better than ever. How can it be better? Because we’re creating a format that will give you more time with the speakers and more time with each other. But before we dive into that awesomeness, let’s talk about how buying tickets will work.

Tickets

Last year we followed web conference tradition and offered lots of bargains. Discounts for a lot of organizations and group discounts if you bought 10 or more tickets. The problem with that model is it doesn’t reward the people who buy early. In fact, it rewards people who wait until the end. When you’re trying to plan an event, that’s just silly.

Right now we have an idea of who our speakers will be and what special events we want to do. Since things aren’t finalized, we can’t share much yet. Which means if you buy a ticket now you’re taking a leap of faith that we rock. 

This year, tickets will start at $200. Every month tickets will go up $50 as we announce new speakers. This feels fair. If you think so too, you can go buy tickets now and save some bucks. If not, keep an eye out for updates and buy tickets when you’re ready.

Format

This year we’re going to have one day of a traditional conference format with six speakers on a stage sharing goodness and knowledge and a second day in a new format. When you show up for day two there will be an opening keynote and then everyone will break into smaller groups to discuss topics such as web education, the legal side of the web, launching a web business, etc. Each of these groups will have an experienced speaker facilitating them. Topics will get 10-20 minutes of love and then move on. Everyone will get the chance to meet with at least three speakers during the course of day two.

Parties

The parties at Aardwolf and Underbelly were amazing last year. With cool new spaces in Jax and more kick ass bands to choose from, we’re going to make the parties bigger and better this year. More to come.

Last years sponsors were among the best we’ve had. This year we want to make sure the value of being a sponsor is high but smaller groups can also get exposure. Volunteers
