Charlotte User Experience Meetup

Back in December of last year, we took a trip up to Charlotte to check out the goings on at the Charlotte User Experience Meetup Group, they had this really neat panel lined up to discuss: Integrating UX into the business, design & dev process, and other things related to UX.

On the panel you have:

  • Bill Baker – Director of Digital Services at Wray Ward
  • Rik Catlow – VP; Senior Visual Designer at Bank of America
  • Jennifer Downs – UX Designer at MailChimp
  • Ron Edelen – Creative Director at MyJive
  • Todd Moy – UX Designer at Viget Labs
  • Patrick Quattlebaum – Chief Experience Officer at Macquarium

Sadly we had to mostly cut Todd out, he joined in on Skype during the panel and his audio and video just wasn’t there… Very sorry Todd!

I think what made this panel so good, IMHO was the wide range of experience and varied backgrounds of each of the panel members. There was the point of view from both agency and in-house type designers as well as the smaller design shop.
