Nest 100 Project

It’s very rare that we look at a Flash site, because for some reason people decided that Flash sites don’t work / aren’t cool / won’t work on your iPhone / whatever. We feel there is still a place for sites like this, especially when you’re combining elements to make an interactive “experience” – Flash is still a great too. Like in the Nest 1000 Project here – that is a website representation of an art installation (see info below) – the interaction brings more life to the site and the art than just a bunch of pics on a page. And… for the past week, I’ve just fired up this website to have the ambient music while I’m working sometimes…

NEST is an installation created by composer Brian Irvine and filmmaker John Mcduff. The installation was made up of thousands of objects donated by people from Northern Ireland, each labeled with a personal history, story or memory.

This website is an archive of selected images and sounds from the original installation and allows people all around the world to upload images and texts creating a virtual and ever-growing NEST.
