This site has some really great typography and subtle texture. I like how it’s not just a black background but utilizes the pattern to give it more depth. There’s some good hierarchy of section headings to let me know what’s important. I also like how the different places you can find him across the internet are woven into the page design so seamlessly.

The post page is also quite different with the post and comments being in two distinct columns.

Code wise there are some cool css and html 5 things going on underneath. For example, the entire color scheme can be changed by replacing a single background color thanks to transparent pngs and rgba text and borders. The typeface I’m using for headings is Goudy Bookletter 1911 from the League of Movable Type. Sadly, not everyone will see these enhancements, but since this is a personal site, I’m not too worried about that.
