bionichippo.com is a great example of minimalism and content hierarchy. A strong sense of contemporary modular grid-based design dominates the layout in pretty much every way but is softened through tight control of mellow colors (with nice accents) and rounded corners. While not revolutionary in scope, the design is a spot-on example of what clean content-oriented design can be.
