Stefan Hartwig: Electric Pulp

Fresh out of our heads and onto the Internet: a shiny new http://t.co/4AJy7vq // Let us know what you think!

Stefan pinged me before they launched the latest version of their site before they took off for SXSW and I got to have a sneak peek. Immediately I wanted to talk to Stefan about their new site and Electric Pulp in general.

We talked about their approach to the new site, thinking it would be a single page scrolly type of thing but eventually and naturally it formed up into a two page deal. Which I think was a great idea because the content splits naturally between work and about. It’s also a great tactic in showing your work off like this. I think this is largely the reason we see so many single page scroller sites nowadays.

Clients

Talking briefly about their client list, which they have a pretty awesome group. From Alltop with Guy Kawasaki to Stephen Colbert’s book site there’s a really strong portfolio here.

What we don’t do

PITCH WORK YOU DON’T NEED
REFER TO OURSELVES AS GURUS
MANUFACTURE DEPENDENCIES
OVER PROMISE

I love this, stating something like this for future clients to read is pretty strong positioning. It’s also smart for Electric Pulp to communicate this clearly to those they will work with. Something for all of us to learn here in being straight forward with our clients and actually help them get where they want to be with their project.
