Designer Chat Session: JD Graffam

Memphis Music Hall of Fame

In this designer chat session I talk with JD Graffam (@jdgraffam) of Simplefocus out of Memphis TN about their launch of the Memphis Music Hall of Fame website.

Memphis Music Hall of Fame

The Project

We discuss how he landed the project, how they approached the design and execution. As well as talked through their approach to the responsive design they ultimately implemented for it. They took an interesting starting point, which is the iPad view, and started there. Subsequently designing down and up width wise from the iPad screen size. It’s an interesting website to design for since the Memphis Music Hall of Fame only exists online right now and the website will eventually be interwoven into the actual brick & mortar museum with large screens and hand held devices potentially.
