Mountain City Club

Interesting new site for 125 year old club in Chattanooga.

Nicely branded site for the Mountain City Club. The colors, type and detail work are all really nice. I think I detect a table in the code, but it’s for the login form. Overall great use of custom photography, you have to be a little jealous when you get the chance to work with nice photography on a website project.

Tables aren’t all bad, are they 🙂

Photos were a combo of in-house at Medium and a great Chattanooga photographer named Lawson Whitaker. He does great work.

Thanks for the mention! Much appreciated.

Hah, no, not all the time, sometimes you need to use tables. Just poking fun there.

    Nice site!

The design is suitably elegant and luxurious. It’s cool how a simple gradient or two, some contrasting edges, and dark glows can create that look.

Arial is a safe choice for body text, but I think a serif font like Georgia would have completed the classical look.
