LSU

LSU

Like the look of the new LSU (Louisiana State University) website. Not wild about the colors… because I’m a U of South Carolina fan… so discount what I just said – the those are school colors, and look good for the site 🙂 Think it’s interesting how it starts to look like a Web 2.0 site, since there is left/right padding on the header – but is fully responsive. Good structure and flow down the architecture of the site. I think the designers might look at the images on pages like  http://lsu.edu/visit/index.php – maybe it’s my connection, but they load really slowly. Either way – good site overall!

Brutalism: The Beauty of Breaking the Rules

Brutalism: The Beauty of Breaking the Rules

Brutalism in web design rejects perfection for authenticity. Stark grids, raw type, and honest structure create interfaces that feel human, intentional, and impossible to ignore. Break the rules, on purpose.
