This site is gorgeous. The pantings that act as transitions between content pages are truly great. Because they bridge the gap between pages, they create an expansive feel to the design that doesn’t exist with most sites. Its probably the most successful transition experience I’ve ever seen on a horizontal scroller. Each page has a custom layout specific to its content (one of the pages is just a big image) and this assists in creating the organic, naturalistic feel the site employs. The transitional animations are eased perfectly and the few really interactive elements are more than enough to keep the pages from feeling stale and static. I have to say, the active state on the main nav that follows the mouse is a little awkward. Still, beautiful site.
