Squids are awesome I must say, they make great illustration subjects. The overall design is based on a lose concept of a ‘shadow’ which weaves it’s way into the design and copy, I like that a lot. It helps that the illustrations look good too, it really keeps you interested to read more about the person who did the work. Another thing I really like is the designer is open about the fact that it’s just him, there’s no ‘we’ talk, just ‘me’ and ‘I’, the openness is nice.

Thanks for the nice review and inclusion on Unmatched Style. I have to agree about squid, just something about them is intriguing – must have been seeded as a kid from reading 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.
Brian, do you consider yourself more illustrator or web designer? Just curious.
Gene, I wouldn’t label myself specifically more as one or the other as I don’t feel, at least for me, that they are mutually exclusive.
Interesting to hear that. Sounds like you have some good talent with a pencil then.
Yes, the pencil is my friend. I first picked up a mouse nearly two decades ago and I still can’t get used to drawing with it. Thanks again.
