Designer Chat Session with Forty Agency

Talking with Sunny Thaper and Amy Lamp of Forty Agency (@fortyagency) about their recent relaunch of fortyagency.com. Their approach was to totally start over with their website. They started with the content and their approach to the content. Opening up their company to the world so you can get to know them better is a central part of their company’s being so it made it into the new website.

We talked about how they create information and “goodies” for clients and the world at large (like on their stuff page). Seeing this as a great way to learn and keep things fresh within their agency as well as giving back some knowledge to their clients helps make their brand stronger.

We also talked briefly about the John McCain for Senate website project that we reviewed here at UMS a couple of months ago. What helped them get the project and why they chose HTML5 on that project and how it’s worked out for them.

It was a pleasure talking with Sunny and Amy and I think you should pay attention to Forty Agency and the work they produce.

Thanks a lot for the great interview Gene! Also, I learned something new about myself… I apparently have an issue with talking directly into the camera. ๐Ÿ˜›

Martin, truthfully I have never taken a book from that particular shelf in my life. Those are all donated books from various people. My home library on the other hand has three giant Dieter Rams books as the central focus point ๐Ÿ˜›
