Gather is a neat little app that enables you to text message your MailChimp subscribers during events. The site is pretty straightforward and does its job communicating what the app is, however I wish there was a little more prominence given to the “Watch the Video” link.
I pulled up the page on my iPhone and thought, “Okay, even barer bones here, no biggie.” Before I started to feel a little disappointment for this being MailChimp designed, I realized they did something clever. As you scroll down the albeit stripped down version of content, the fact that they use alternating text bubbles for each paragraph was really quite pleasant. Obviously because metaphorically it makes sense – and it’s all you need. MailChimp, you always find a way to delight.
