I had the good fortune to take the entire UnmatchedStyle team to last year’s InControl Conference in Orlando Florida. I can tell you it was one of the better conferences we attended, and man did we go to a lot of ’em. I took some time out for a quick Skype chat with Christopher Schmitt InControl’s founder and producer to get the low down on what to expect for this year’s event.

I’ve attended the past two InControl Conferences in Orlando and they have both been great. The 2-day program is always up to date, covers the latest info on coding and design, and features speakers that deliver engaging and helpful presentations. I love being able to meet and network with the speakers as well as attendees – there are a number of opportunities to do so. Highly recommended!
I would love to go to InControl 2012! Learning is key to survival in our field, and what a better way than from that line-up. Being able to meet everyone else there would be huge. Plus, I live in Orlando already, so no travel would be required 🙂
Looks like a fantastic lineup of speakers.
I could always be more “InControl” of my development skilzzzz!
Would love to go this conference just to pick the brains of all the amazing speaker they have lined up! : ) This should be a fun one.
What better place to hold a conference in February than Florida? This looks like a fantastic lineup of speakers, and I’d be particularly interested in hearing Kristina Halvorson and Chris Coyier speak.
Yeah, this is an amazing lineup and I’d love to go listen and talk shop. Plus, it’s cold in Illinois so heading down to Florida would be much appreciated.
Add my hat to the ring. Went last year and really enjoyed the event. Great speakers and topics. Nice area of town where we walked to the afterparties.
The venue was sort of iffy (spotty wifi and one attendee had a water pipe explode near their room).
But all in all, definitely worth it. I just got my ticket for this year.
I would love to attended the 2012 in-Control Conference. I attended it two years ago and still talk about some of the wonderful presentations we saw. Greg and Stephanie Rewis are a wonderful pair, showing you how to improve your design in Photoshop and than implementing it with semantic CSS. I highly recommended it to any one.
I’d like to go to hear Josh Clark talk and learn more about mobile development.
Would love to see Greg Rewis’ mobile session. Definitely need to explore this mobile stuff. Doesn’t look like its going any where.
My designer is attending this conference and I have to say, I’m really intrigued and want to learn more. As the president of a small marketing shop, I believe the exposure to the design and coding content of the InControl conference can help me envision better design concepts and as well as gain a better understanding of the complexity and possibilities that HTML 5 will provide. My responsibilities include create engaging online content and the opportunity to interact with design professionals will fuel my creativity. I’m particularly intrigued by the work of Josh Clark in the mobile design space. And I find Dan Rubin to be one of the foremost experts in blending design & usability.
InControl 2012 Orlando would be a great time and I’d love to attend. I’m particularly interested in the content strategy session with Kristina Halvorson. She’s got a lot of experience and is a recognized leader in that topic. It’d be great to get a new perspective on developing a content strategy for our business and learning more about how it ties into design.
I’d love to go to the mobile design session. Josh Clark does such a great job of showing the ins and outs of successful app designing.
I’d also love to Leslie Jensin-Inman speak again, her outlook on Do Good is super inspiring.
I’d love to be able to see Dan Rubin, the awesome couple, Greg and Stephanie Rewis, and especially the CSS guru, Chris Coyer. I refer to Chris’ site (CSS-tricks) daily. I respect all their work and it’d be great to see them speak.
Big congrats to Luke Coyle for winning the free pass to InControl 2012. Email is on it’s way Luke!
