archiduchesse.com

archiduchessecom

archiduchesse.com is a simple site that conveys its primary goal well. I didn’t translate it to english but I think I can venture the guess that they sell socks, and in so many colors! Seriously, the colored socks look pretty epic when presented as a solid grid. The stripped down layout allows the contrast between the organic texture of the stacked socks and the regular grid to really sing. Its kind of impressive that they brought an element drama to socks.

The blog and info pages follow the simple design employed by the gallery and are clean and readable. They look a little too template-like (I’m not sure if that is a word) for my tastes but considering the page content that may be spitting hairs. Also, really nice logo.
